The basic rules of using piqued.today — who owns what, what you can do with our articles, and the limits of our responsibility.
These terms are fairly standard. By using piqued.today, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, write to legal@piqued.today and we'll try to explain in plainer language.
Acceptable use
You're welcome to read everything on piqued.today, share links to our articles, quote short passages with attribution, and send us feedback. You may not scrape the site at a scale that interferes with its operation, attempt to break in, circumvent our security measures, impersonate us, or republish our full articles elsewhere without written permission.
Our content
All articles, photography, illustrations, and design on piqued.today are owned by Piqued Media or licensed to us by their original creators. You may quote short passages (a paragraph or two) with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. Anything beyond that requires written permission — email press@piqued.today.
Your contributions
If you submit a story pitch, correction, tip, or comment to us, you grant us permission to publish, edit, and use it on the site (with credit where applicable) unless you explicitly tell us otherwise. You remain the owner of what you submit; we just get permission to use it.
Accuracy and advice
We work hard to make sure everything we publish is accurate — see our editorial standards for how. We also write a lot of short, cheerful pieces, and we occasionally get something wrong. When that happens, we correct it. Nothing on piqued.today is a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other expert advice.
Affiliate and sponsored content
Some articles contain affiliate links — we earn a small commission if you buy a product through them, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend. Sponsored posts are clearly labeled at the top of every piece.
Third-party links
We occasionally link to other websites and services. We don't control what those sites do, so we can't be responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their own privacy and terms. Follow external links at your own discretion.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may change the site's design, features, or content at any time, and we may update these terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change to the terms, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page. Continuing to use piqued.today after a change means you accept the updated version.
Limitation of liability
piqued.today is provided as-is. We try our best, but we can't promise the site will be error-free, continuously available, or free from every possible risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Piqued Media and our team are not liable for any loss or damage that results from reading, using, or relying on anything on this site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from them will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction there.
